Pranav Alumni Association 2013 was successfully conducted in the Sankara Arts & Science College, Enathur, Kanchipuram on 18.8.2013. Many old students were enthusiastically participated in this get together and shared their past experience. C. Geetha (III BSc Biotechnology) and R. Prasanna (II MSc Biotechnology) got meritorious fellowship from Pranav Alumni Association 2013.

நாம் என்ன செய்வோம்!துணைவரே!-இந்தப்
பூமியி லில்லாத புதுமையைக் கண்டோம்.

திலகன் ஒருவனாலே இப்படி யாச்சு 
      செம்மையும் தீமையும் இல்லாமலே போச்சு; 
பலதிசையும் துஷ்டர் கூட்டங்க ளாச்சு 
      பையல்கள் நெஞ்சில் பயமென்பதே போச்சு

தேசத்தில் எண்ணற்ற பேர்களுங் கெட்டார் 
      செய்யுந் தொழில்முறை யாவையும் விட்டார் 
பேசுவோர் வார்த்தை தாதா சொல்லிவிட்டார் 
      பின்வர வறியாமல் சுதந்திரம் தொட்டார்

இன்று....

நெஞ்சு பொறுக்கு திலையே-இந்த 
      நிலைகெட்ட மனிதரை நினைந்துவிட்டால், 
அஞ்சி யஞ்சிச் சாவார்-இவர் 
      அஞ்சாத பொருளில்லை அவனியிலே; 
வஞ்சனைப் பேய்கள் என்பார்-இந்த 
      மரத்தில் என்பார்;அந்தக் குளத்தில் என்பார்; 
துஞ்சுவது முகட்டில் என்பார்-மிகத் 
      துயர்ப்படு வார் எண்ணிப் பயப்படுவார்.

சிப்பாயைக் கண்டு அஞ்சு வார்-ஊர்ச் 
      சேவகன் வருதல்கண்டு மனம்பதைப் பார்; 
துப்பாக்கி கொண்டு ஒருவன்-வெகு 
      தூரத்தில் வரக்கண்டு வீட்டிலொளிப் பார்; 
அப்பால் எவனோ செல்வான்-அவன் 
      ஆடையைக் கண்டுபயந் தெழுந்துநிற் பார்; 
எப்போதும் கைகட்டு வார்-இவர் 
      யாரிடத்தும் பூனைகள்போல் ஏங்கிநடப் பார்

நெஞ்சு பொறுக்கு திலையே-இதை 
      நினைந்து நினைந்திடினும் வெறுக்கு திலையே 
கஞ்சி குடிப்பதற் கிலார்-அதன் 
      காரணங்கள் இவையென்னும் அறிவுமி லார். 
பஞ்சமோ பஞ்சம் என்றே-நிதம் 
      பரிதவித் தேஉயிர் துடிதுடித் தே 
துஞ்சி மடிக்கின் றாரே-இவர் 
      துயர்களைத் தீர்க்கவோர் வழியிலை யே

எண்ணிலா நோயுடை யார்-இவர் 
      எழுந்து நடப்பதற்கும் வலிமையி லார் 
கண்ணிலாக் குழந்தை கள்போல்-பிறர் 
      காட்டிய வழியிற்சென்று மாட்டிக்கொள் வார்; 
நண்ணிய பெருங்கலை கள்-பத்து 
      நாலாயிரங் கோடி நயந்துநின் ற 
புண்ணிய நாட்டினி லே-இவர் 
      பொறியற்ற விலங்குகள் போலவாழ் வார்.

      உறுதி கொண்ட நெஞ்சினாய் வா வா வா

PRANAV-ALUMNI ASSOCIATION MEETING-2013

                We wish to announce that every year our college management were conducting Pranav-Alumni Association meeting. This year college management are planning to conduct Pranav-Alumni Association meeting on Sunday 18^th August, 2013 at Sri Sankara Arts & Science College, Kanchipuram. We expect all of our old students come and participate in the get together meeting. Your presence will definitely enrich the bond between you and your college that enhance better understanding and support alumni associated program. Apart from that this Pranav-Alumni Association meeting will reunite your friendship with colleagues and old friends.

Miss Loganayaki - IISER Mohali Summer Program-2013

Ms. Loganayaki (outgoing MSc Biotechnology student) participated in prestigious IISER Mohali Summer Program-2013. She had undergone training for the period of last one month under the guidance of Dr. Kavitababu, in C. elegans Lab, IISER, Mohali. During her stay in IISER she learned many aspects of neurobiology of C. elegans.  It is interesting to note that Ms.Loganayaki is also one of the recipients of IISc Summer Research Fellowship-2013. Her student project proposal was selected and awarded by Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST), Chennai.

                The staff and students of Department of Biotechnology appreciate her hard work and dedication.

KVPY FELLOWSHIP FOR FIRST BSC STUDENTS

APPLICATIONS            
Request for Application Form

• Each Stream has its own application form.
• Students may apply either by hard copy or Online (http://www.kvpy.org.in/).
• For Online application forms, click here. Those who are unable to apply online may request for a hard Copy.
• A hard copy of the application form can be obtained from KVPY on request on a plain paper enclosing the paid “Bank Challan/ Pay-in-slip” (available at: http://www.kvpy.org.in/), clearly indicating the stream SA/SX/SB on the envelope.
• APPLICATION FEE:  An application fee of Rs. 500/- may be remitted at any core banking branch of the STATE BANK OF INDIA to the credit of “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) A/c. No. 10270577392”
• The Application fee is  exempted for the following category of students:
1. Students belonging to SC/ST community
2. Students With Disability (Physically and Visually Challenged Students)

• The completed application form along with the following documents, superscribing on the envelope the stream applied for, should reach the KVPYoffice on or before 02/09/2013.
1. Caste certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed proforma in the case of SC/ST students.
2. Medical certificate from the prescribed authority in case of Persons With Disability (physically and visually challenged students) certifying the percentage of disability.
3. Copy of the marks/grade statement of the previous qualifying examination(s).
4. The original Pay-in-slip of Rs. 500/- if applicable.
• KVPY will not be responsible for postal delays in receiving completed application.
