JNU Summer School 2013

27th May 2013 to 28th June 2013
The School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University is organizing Summer School under the UGC Resource Network Programme. Applications are invited from students pursuing graduate or post-graduate studies in any branch of science or technology (B.Sc., B.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech., M.B.B.S., BE) for participation in this Summer Research programme being conducted from 27th May, 2013 to 28th June, 2013 at the School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University. The objective of this programme is to motivate and stimulate young and creative minds to pursue a career in science.
The summer school includes talks from experts in the field of modern biological sciences and hands-on experiments. Each participant will be assigned to a mentor and his/her laboratory in the School of Life Sciences for pursuing research.
Application Procedure: Application on plain paper forwarded by respective Head of the Department along with the curriculum-vitae and a one page write-up on what interests you in science is mandatory. The complete application with e-mail ID and contact number should reach the office of the Dean, School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi – 110 067, latest by 30th April 2013.
• Preferences will be given to the first year M.Sc. and Second year B.Sc. students.
• Selection will be done on the basis of merit and candidates from remote areas will be given preference.
• It is mandatory to attend the programme for the entire duration.
Travel grants: Selected candidates joining from outside Delhi will be provided with non-AC sleeper class train fare and accommodation.
