RHBT NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM at D. G. VAISHNAV COLLEGE – Chennai – 05/02/2020

 A national symposium on RECENT HEADWAYS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY was organised in Dwaraka Doss Govardana Doss Vaishnav college on 05-02-2020. We 38 students including final year UG and PG  from department of biotechnology. Miss. S.Vinothini of II M.Sc., Biotechnology  for receiving first prize for poster presentation.

Department of Biotechnology congratulates S.Vinothini of II M.Sc., Biotechnology  for receiving first prize in poster presentation in the National Symposium on "Recent Headway in Biotechnology"(RHBT-2020) Organised by the Department of Biotechnology, Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College(Autonomous) Chennai held on 5.02.2020.

A Guest Lecture on the topic "CURRENT TRENDS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY - 2020" was organized by Watson and Crick Forum, Department of Biotechnology

Dr. E. Selvarajan gave a lecture on " Biotechnology oriented job opportunity and its current trend". 

Workshop on "PERIPHERAL BLOOD MONONUCLEAR CELLS" was organized by Watson and Crick Forum, Department of Biotechnology

 
Cell culture basis was briefly explained and Peripheral Blood Mononuclear cells from human blood were isolated and gave hands on training to the students by Dr. Sowmiya Kalaiselvan

Students Presentation

On behalf of Watson and Crick Forum "Oral Presentations" will be conducted every week for the students 

We are happy to announce that Department of Biotechnology started a forum called " Watson and Crick"

As the First event "Inauguration of Watson and Crick Forum and One day workshop on Foldscope" was organized successfully.
