Lavanya’s Journey into Mushroom Cultivation: A Budding Entrepreneur's Initiative
Lavanya
is a passionate student with a dream of becoming an entrepreneur. With a strong
interest in sustainable agriculture, she took her first step by starting
mushroom cultivation at home. She chose to grow oyster mushrooms and initiate by
discussing her idea with her family, gaining their support and permission.
She
prepared the terrace for growing conditions. For her initial attempt, Lavanya
bought quality oyster mushroom spawn and made mushroom beds, carefully
following sterilization methods to avoid contamination. During the cultivation
period, she closely observed the growth and took photos at different stages for
future reference. From setting up to harvesting, each step showed her
dedication and eagerness to learn.
This
hands-on experience not only helped her understand the process of mushroom
farming but also moved her closer to her goal of becoming an entrepreneur.
