Immunology experiment results of 2nd B.Sc Biotechnology
The immunology experiment "Separation of Serum and Plasma from the Blood Sample" was conducted today [20/06/2026] for our 2nd B.Sc Biotechnology students, and we got good results of clear separation of both plasma and serum as shown below.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DR.A.RAJALAKSHMI
We
are happy to congratulate our faculty member Dr. A. Rajalakshmi on
obtaining the SEED Grant of Rs. 4,92,000/- for her project entitled “Establishing
a High-Throughput Computational Framework to Accelerate Natural Product-Based
Drug Discovery across Multiple Therapeutic Domains”. We are confident that this
grant will contribute greatly to the growth and development of the department
and accelerate our molecular dynamic simulation capabilities up to five-fold. We
extend our heartfelt congratulations once again and wish continued success in
all future endeavours.

Achievements of our faculty members and students on the Annual Sports Day 2025-26.
We cordially congratulate our department faculty members, Dr D. Chithra and Dr S. Vinodhini, who won 1st place in Women's Badminton [Doubles], and M Lavanya, a 2nd MSc Biotechnology student, who won 3rd place in Badminton [Singles]. Dr P. Saravanan is coordinating the sports activity for our department for the Annual Sports Day 2025-26.

Watson and Crick Forum presentation
The Watson and Crick forum, PG and Research Department of Biotechnology, Sri Sankara Arts and Science College, organised a student forum meet on 25th February 2026 from 1:00 to 1:30 PM.
Ms
Devi J, from 2nd M.Sc. Biotechnology gave a
presentation on “EUTROPHICATION: causes, consequences and mitigation
strategies”. Department staff, Research Scholars, and Students
participated in the meeting.
The welcome
address was given by Dr B. Ramesh, HOD and Convenor

metagenomes without short-read or reference polishing”. Department
