On the event of National - International Consumer Rights Day-2024, the Tamil Nadu Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer protection organised the district level competition on poetry, Essay writing and painting on 14.02.2024. The students of III BSc Biotechnology - B. Prathika won 1st prize in painting and C. Nishanthini won 2nd prize in essay writing, received the appreciation certificate and trophy from the Hon’ble district collector of Kanchipuram Mrs. Kalaiselvi Mohan on 29.02.2024.

We are happy to share that the project entitled "In silico screening and identification of a novel potent inhibitor targeting major enzymes of Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei" presented by us to Kemin AquaScience Asia Private Limited, has been approved and Rs. 1,80,000 sanctioned for us to complete the project in 3 months duration. I M.Sc. (14 students) and II M.Sc. (15 students) presented and participated in a "National Conference on Biotechnology Advances in Biomedical Environmental and Agricultural Technology" (BEAT 2024), organized by the Department of Biotechnology, School of Sciences, 

Hindustan College arts and science, Chennai on 13th February 2024.

R.Sharmila Won the III Prize in Oral Presentation and the topic entitled as ‘Isolation and Extraction of Pyocyanin Pigment from Pseudomonas species and its Application on Textile Industry.’
