Watson and Crick Forum presentation held on 09 February 2026

  In the Watson and Crick forum, PG and Research Department of Biotechnology, Sri Sankara Arts and Science College, organised a student forum meet on 9th February 2026 from 1:00 to 1:30 PM.

Ms. DEEPIKA. A from 2^nd M.Sc. Biotechnology gave a presentation on “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DRIVEN IN PHARMACEUTICALS”. Department staff, Research Scholars, and Students participated in the meeting.

The welcome address was given by Dr B. Ramesh, HOD and Convenor

  Ms. DEEPIKA. A gave a detailed presentation on “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DRIVEN IN PHARMACEUTICALS”. Students participated in the meet and during the questionnaire session.

The forum meeting was over by 1:30 PM, with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr R. Harishkumar, coordinator of the Watson and Crick forum.

AI-driven pharmaceuticals integrate machine learning, deep learning, and computational modelling to enhance drug discovery and development. These methods enable target identification, in-silico molecule design, prediction of pharmacokinetics and toxicity, optimisation of clinical trial design, and data-driven precision medicine, thereby increasing efficiency, accuracy, and translational success in pharmaceutical research.
